1% of September Sales will Benefit Arts For Life
You shop, we give! Grovewood Gallery and our sister shop, Gallery of the Mountains (inside the Omni Grove Park Inn), will donate 1% of all September sales to the Asheville Chapter of Arts For Life, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting pediatric patients and families through arts education and engagement.
Arts For Life puts creativity, discovery, and joy into the hands and hearts of children who need it the very most.
Every day across North Carolina, their team of staff members, volunteers, interns, and teaching fellows brightens the lives and healthcare experiences of children and families facing serious illnesses and disabilities. By bringing visual art, music, and creative writing education into hospitals and clinics, they help these children and teens remember that they’re not just patients: they’re artists, musicians, and poets with a world of possibility at their fingertips.
While their art and music lessons may not change a diagnosis, they do have the power to transform the healthcare experience for thousands of patients and families. Arts For Life has partnered with children’s hospitals, clinics, and community organizations to run successful permanent art stations, bedside studios, and art groups for pediatric patients of all ages.
In 2003, Arts For Life expanded to Asheville and Mission Children’s Hospital. Asheville is well-known for its creative community of artists, musicians, and craftsmen and is also home to Arts For Life’s headquarters.
