This stained glass window panel by Jacob Hinnenkamp features a Charley Haper mountain bluebird design from his 1991 painting for a Rocky Mountains National Park poster. Its background is made up of a combination of nature-themed, geometrically arranged fracture streamer glass. Hang it in front of a sunny window and watch the colors come to life.
Jacob Hinnenkamp is an official licensee of the Charley Harper Art Studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, and an affiliate member of The Stained Glass Association of America.
“A native of Cincinnati and mechanical designer by trade, my father Joseph mastered the art of stained glass window and lamp design by practicing it as a cherished hobby for over 40 years. I learned everything I know about stained glass from him. What started as a hobby evolved into a passion, and that passion evolved into my career choice. I convinced him to join me in taking our passion to a larger stage by starting a business together making custom pieces for residences and local businesses.”
“Together, we wish to revitalize and reinvent the art form through the introduction of unique and obscure themes while paying homage to classical elements reminiscent of work from the 19th and early 20th century by artists like Louis Comfort Tiffany and John La Farge. These include bizarre nature-scapes, religious and mythological figures, abstract representations, and elements of the macabre.”
