Lobster Mug
Description
Bring an artisanal aesthetic to the table with these wheel-thrown lobster mugs by Anja Bartels. Anja’s designs are inspired by her childhood memories of growing up in a port city on the North Sea. Each mug features a single red lobster and has an interior cobalt blue glaze.
About Anja Bartels
Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Anja discovered pottery making while living in an intentional community in Virginia. Passion ignited, she returned home to study in the German Ceramics Guild. After completing a three-year apprenticeship with a master potter, Anja received her journeyman ceramics degree from the German Chamber of Crafts and Trades. She is now an artist-in-residence at Odyssey ClayWorks in Asheville.
