Before Times Plate
Description
This whimsical porcelain plate by North Carolina artist Camille Morin features a unicorn and rainbow motif with the phrase Before Times, finished with a delicate 22k gold rim. Using a lithographic transfer process, Morin layers nostalgic imagery onto her ceramic surfaces, often combining vintage-inspired graphics with contemporary themes. Multiple firings, original glazes, vintage decals, and metallic lusters give her work both richness and depth, capturing her vision of creating “modern heirlooms” that connect past and present through everyday objects.
Raised in East Tennessee and now based in Madison County, NC, Morin has been a full-time potter since 2019. Her decorated porcelain invites both playfulness and reflection, offering a soulful link between memory, history, and the rituals of daily life.
