Patricia Cotterill’s subject matter depicts animals, people, and still lifes – providing a glimpse into scenes of everyday life.
Patricia was born in a small town in Scotland. Her father served in the British Royal Air Force, so growing up, she lived in cities all over the world. After graduating with a degree in graphic design from the prestigious Lincoln College of Art in England, she worked for an advertising agency and then got a job as a display manager for a chain of stores in southern England. Years later, married with two daughters, she and her husband Stuart became American citizens. They now call Asheville their home.
NBC purchased three of Patricia’s paintings for the set of the TV series “Parenthood,” and HGTV’s “Urban Oasis” used four more of her works when they staged their West Asheville project home in 2015. Her work was also featured in “Art for the Traditional Home” – part of “The Handmade Home” book series.
