Fern Mug

Description

Celebrate your green thumb with these botanical fern leaf mugs by Asheville ceramic artist Laura Cooke. Laura draws her surface designs by hand, then transforms them into clay stamps by printing them out on a 3D printer. Each mug is then individually decorated and hand-formed.

Laura grew up in North Carolina and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Furman University. She learned to throw pottery in the hilltop town of Cortona, Italy, and fell in love with the art form while living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Pursuing her passion, Laura enrolled in the ceramics program at the Oregon College of Art and Craft and apprenticed under renowned potter Victoria Christen. She now lives in Asheville, NC, where she works as a full-time studio potter. She loves clean, simple designs and pottery intended for everyday use.
