Handcrafted in Asheville, the metal dog in this sculpture is purposely rusted and then sealed to give a durable patina. Dave says, “The cutting and welding are all done by hand. No computers are used, and no animals are hurt during the process.”

A retired dentist, Dave has been creating metal sculptures for over 25 years. He often incorporates found objects into his work, transforming old car parts, farm machinery, and tools into playful works of art.
