This tiny, textured keepsake box by woodworker Jim Christiansen is perfect for storing small trinkets and treasures.
About Jim Christiansen Like many woodworkers, Jim had his first exposure to turning wood in high school shop class. Although his early projects lacked great skill, they did create a love and an appreciation for working with wood. After a long career in education, Jim purchased a lathe and began turning where he had left off nearly 30 years before. He attended a woodturning symposium in Utah, and his enthusiasm for the craft led him down a path of learning and collaborating with other artists.
Jim constantly experiments with new ideas, pushing himself forward. As a mentor, he spends a lot of time in his studio working with individuals who share his love of art and want to learn more about his process. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally and has also traveled around the world, teaching others about critique and design.
