Perry Holbrook
Handmade in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains by Perry Holbrook, these little boxes are a work of art and functional as well. Self-taught in woodworking, metal-smithing, and glass, Holbrook uses his talents to blend those materials into a small piece of art that is truly unique. Some boxes are carved out of a single piece of maple, some turned on a lathe, some use traditional woodoworking methods, some are welded steel or hand forged copper. He then makes a colorful glass tile with a formed air bubble to serve as the box top, blending the design together. Because he insists on making each box completely by himself, there is a limited number made each year.
