During October 1-10, artists, galleries, museums, craft organizations and schools across the country are celebrating American Craft Week. This first annual event is a national endeavor to bring awareness to the many benefits craft has on our lives and our economy. Here in Western NC, local participants will be celebrating with open studios, trunk shows, festivals, demonstrations, exhibit openings and workshops.
