Pam Brewer

My military family of five siblings moved every year of my life until my parents retired to the mountains of North Carolina. Within two years of settling in Banner Elk my father passed away, permanently etching the concepts that life is ever-changing and that security must be derived from within.

I received a degree in design from the Art Institute of Atlanta and began my professional career in Dallas, Texas in interior design. From that, to architectural firm, real estate and development to owning and operating a design/construction company on the coast of South Carolina. The mountains of North Carolina called me back in 1993 where I have continued my growth in spirit and craft.

After concentrating on mosaic, assemblages and found objects, the magic of clay gave me a way to explore slab and coil constructions. Myth, ancient cultures and the perfection and order of nature are my influences.
